In Paradise, resurrected ones will be able to fill in some gaps of our knowledge of the past. What a wonderful sentence!
The comments continue with some thoughts about Enoch, Noah, Abraham, etc. One District Overseer mentioned his desire to find out "who really killed JFK". My curiosity includes learning about the exact physical appearance of Adam and his wife Eve.
Furthermore, if a resurrected person who had lived during the close of the Middle Ages chose to open a theme park called "Renaissance World", I'd visit! It could be staffed by costumed docents who are simply wearing what they've worn their whole life. In this way, "time travel" to the past could become a "reality".
What are you curious about the past which you look forward to discovering?
I'd like to know what Jephthahs' daughter did with her girlfriends every year they came to 'Bethel' to memorialize her sacrifice. And how on earth did all the wives and concubines deal with sharing one man? That's just for starters. And then there's the little matter with Lots' daughters... please ladies make me understand that! Oh so many questions.
ReplyDeleteSunny~ yeah, those are some good questions! I have a feeling Lot's daughters are gonna wanna change the subject...
ReplyDeleteI'm actually too curious about everything. I imagine the Angels have recording devices similar to our CamCorders and they have everything on play back. I want to kick it with Gabriel, eat some popcorn, and he drops in a video showing his favorite scene from "human" history. I would love to hear David composing and singing the Psalms.
ReplyDeleteFascinating thought about angels and their camcorders. I like it! If 6000 years of human technology has resulted in camcorders, what have intelligent angels come up with after billions of years?

ReplyDeleteI'd be queuing up with Harry to speak to Noah for a start.
ReplyDeleteIf I could i'd like to have been there when Peter suddenly realised he was walking on water..the panic!
Also I would feel proud to see the disciples loyally standing there, relying fully on Jehovah. whilst being bombarded from this boom of the Ephesians silversmiths shouting .."Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" in the Amphitheatre at Ephesus. To also witness to the reason for this reaction is that they were doing such a good job in witnessing in that city that these ones felt threatened.
